TITLE: View of Agra from the Taj Mahal
DESCRIPTION: I was looking for a different view of the Taj Mahal.... it is so over-photographed that it's almost impossible to find something new. Hopefully I have achieved that here. This is actually a view from the building, with the mezzanine, and an outbuilding in view. Across the mudflats can be seen the river, and the city of Agra. I loved how the sepia toning rather took the image back in time to the early days of photography. The photograph feels like it could have been taken any time in the past 150 years. My favourite element though is the man captured in the triangle of light on the mezzanine. It adds scale and a focal point, and in my mind brings the whole story together.
